The fourth International training “Youth advocacy on international level” is taking place on the 3-6th of May 2023 in Helsinki, Finland. Young people will continue to discover youth advocacy and improve their own capacity by gaining necessary skills and understanding practical secrets and details of youth advocacy which needs to be done on a EU and internatiomal level by working with government and stakeholders who work at international level. Participating also in the process of creating legislation and providing to the government and interested bodies their own feedback on the questions related with youth interests in all fields. We will also discuss the possibility of creation of the European Youth Parliament and their initiatives as a social change and lift for future young politicians and leaders in their own regions/countries. Participants will also elebarore the content of the Youth advocacy toolkit (an integral part of each meeting) and provide own vision on the final version of the Youth Advocacy Statement and their vision on Child and youth participation strategies during crisis and recommendations for decision makers in the Nordic region, what was just recently published by Nordic Council.
The event is welcoming for representatives of young people and NGO’s across Nordic and Estonia, experts, researchers, policymakers, and people involved in field of youth work, It aims to create open and inspiring dialogues, sharing experiences, and create certain practices, youthwork, educational, cultural techniques for the future, and formulate recommendations for public policies, which will facilitate more complex inclusion and cohesion through work with children, young people, and vulnerable groups. Additionally we will visit Institutions working with sustainabilty advocacy policies and questions on international level
